Our Services
Grounded in the most current research and evidence-based-practices we are providing support to address the specific needs of the Gold Coast community.
Specialised Support Work
This support is focused on assisting individuals that have NDIS plans reach their goals. At Body 4 Mind Fitness we specialise in the area of psychosocial disability and work alongside individuals to eliminate barriers and assist with implementing appropriate supports and services as we believe in a collaborative approach to individuals recovery.
Therapeutic sessions that combine Fitness with Counselling
Body 4 Mind Fitness will create individualised movement sessions to enrich the counselling sessions. We believe that the body and mind have a strong connection which is important for physical and emotional wellbeing. Engaging in Walk and Talk or Fitness Therapy sessions can be less confronting and encourages clients to speak more openly. Each session is guided by the individual and their needs for the day. This is a good way to ease into a routine of regular movement.
Research has consistently shown that engaging in physical activity decreases the symptoms of anxiety and depression to improve overall mood. Walk and Talk or Fitness Therapy step away from traditional methods of office and ‘couch’ based counselling.
Support Coordination
Body 4 Mind Fitness offers support coordination to individuals needing assistance sourcing and connecting with service providers to help you get the most out of your NDIS plan. Support Coordinator will assist you to negotiate with providers about what support they will offer and what they will cost out of your plan. Support Coordinator will work with you to build your skills when it comes to exercising choice and control and how to manage your own support.
